Flower Boxes!
Remember the beautiful Flower Boxes design I was raving about and that it only took me one day to cave in and order it? Imagine my delight when I received the chart today!
The only bit of a shocker (well, a big shocker) is that the design covers six pages!
I know that a lot of stitchers do designs that cover way more than six pages, but you have to bear in mind that in all my years of stitching, the biggest design I ever stitched covered only two pages. However, the layout of the chart is fantastic and the six pages consist of easy to read symbols, not all squashed up tight like other designs that are several pages big. (My guess is that if it was all tight and squashed it would fit onto two pages.) I must applaud the designer on the great layout of the chart – it makes a coward like me eager to tackle a big design. A little secret: when you order the chart you also receive a little crossword with it!
I managed a bit on my Thanksgiving Sampler today. Today I realised that I should have stitched it on 32ct (as suggested) instead of on 28ct. I wanted to turn it into a small pillow, but now it’s a bit too big to make it into a little pillow without it looking ‘not quite right’. Guess I’ll have to either frame it or make a tuck pillow for it.

It’s finished!
I’m happy to announce that I managed to finish the Summer Sampler!! Now that it’s finished I’m glad I stuck to it instead of putting it aside again.

I was planning on starting PS’s Autumn Wind after finishing this one, but started on DT’s Thanksgiving Sampler instead…

I’ll just choose another little project to take with on our trip to take this one’s place and already know which one – JBW’s French Country Pumpkin. What can I say, there are so many projects that I want to do now that I change my mind every other day as to what exactly it is that I want to stitch now. Dilemma!!!
How do you go about starting a new project? Do you have a list that you follow or do you finish one and then have a rummage through your stash to see what jumps out at you? I’d love to know how other stitchers solve this problem!

Almost there…
I didn’t manage to finish the Summer sampler before the weekend, but can definately have it done before Monday comes around! It only needs a couple of stitches and a tiny amount of backstitching…

We didn’t make any plans for the weekend so I can finish up all my mail that needs sending. Normally Thursdays is mail day for me – that’s the day I sit down to write all my letters, cards and wrap up parcels. (I do drop things into the postbox during the week as well but Thursday is the day I actually go into the Post Office.) This week I didn’t do my ‘Mail Thursday’ so I have a few letters to write and a couple of parcels to wrap up.
This evening I realised that skiing isn’t two weeks away but only one – we’re leaving next Saturday! Good heavens, what happened to the extra week?!?
